What do we do with the Costa Concordia?

I have read a few ideas on what will happen to the now infamous boat in the next few months, BBC talk about cutting it up on site, or towing it away after enabling it to float, either using air balls, or patching the hole and towing it away to then be disposed off / repaired. However there was no mention of leaving the ship as it is.

The ship will survive as a remainder that we are indeed not Gods of the sea, in fact, that the sea can claim a humans life's onboard the most modern of ships in the calmest of waters , a reminder that we need to respect the sea.

It will also serve as a shrine to those who sadly lost their life's on board that ship, there for many hundreds of years to come.

A side note is also that ship wrecks provide excellent habitats for sea life, providing shelter and a place for new colonies of life to start. Some of the best habitats for fish are indeed old ship wrecks.

Leave the Costa Concordia where it is!
